Plowed Trails for Walking

Visitors who want to keep walking through the colder months can take advantage of plowed, paved loop trails at five preserves. Forest Preserves’ crews plow winter routes at Hastings Lake, Independence Grove, Lakewood, Old School and Ryerson Conservation Area, making it easier to stay active even after the snow falls.
